1 killed, 6 hurt in Taytay, Rizal road mishap

One died and six others were hurt when a passenger jeep plying the JIC-Binangonan route and a blue Toyota Corolla car ran into each other along Rizal Avenue in San Juan village, Taytay, Rizal, radio dzBB reported Saturday morning. The report identified the fatality as Jonathan Puentabella, the car's driver, who was a human resource management officer of Philhealth. The victim, whose head was badly hit in the accident, was pronounced dead on arrival at the Rizal Medical Center along Shaw Boulevard in Pasig City. DzBB said he was with Luis Austria, 38, who is being treated in the same hospital, after he sustained injuries to his foot. Meanwhile, the five passengers of the jeep were rushed to the Taytay Emergency Hospital, according to dzBB. They were identified as Margarita de Jesus-Garcia, 31; Ruelito Garcia, 30; Carolyn Bermudez, 27; Fe Subaste, and a certain Dario. - GMANews.TV
