7 barangays in Laguna capital placed under 'strict GCQ'
Seven barangays in Laguna's capital have been placed under strict general community quarantine (GCQ) following a spike in the COVID-19 cases in the city.
A GMA News Alert report on Saturday quoted the local city government as identifying the seven barangays:
- Bagumbayan
- Calios
- Duhat
- Pagsawitan
- Patimbao
- San Juan
- Santo Angel Central
The LGU will be conducting mandatory swab tests in these areas under strict general community quarantine.
The Laguna capital has so far recorded 167 confirmed cases, 49 of them remain active.
The city's public market is currently under a three-day lockdown after two stall owners tested positive for the virus.
Laguna is currently under a modified GCQ. -MDM, GMA News
