Ilocos Norte tricycle driver dies after being hit by pickup

A tricycle driver died on Saturday after he was hit by a pickup truck in Batac City, Ilocos Norte, according to Lei Alviz’s report on “24 Oras Weekend.”

CCTV footage showed that the tricycle driver signaled to the vehicles behind that he was going to cross along the curved part of the road.

However, while in the middle of crossing the street, the tricycle was hit by a speeding pickup truck.

The impact threw the tricycle driver into a canal. He sustained head injuries.

The driver later died despite being rushed to the hospital. Meanwhile, his passenger sustained a minor injury.
