Binga, Magat, Ipo dams open gates amid rains from Quinta
At least three dams in Luzon opened their gates to release water amid heavy rains from Typhoon Quinta.
At 6 a.m., Binga Dam in Benguet had one gate open at 0.3 meters.
Magat Dam in Isabela meanwhile had two gates open at 3 meters.
Ipo Dam in Bulacan meanwhile released water before dawn on Monday.
At 1:45 a.m., the water discharge at Ipo Dam was increased to 158 cm with overflow of 2721 cm, PAGASA said.

The water level in all the other dams went up as of 6 a.m. due to rainfall from Quinta.
As of 6 a.m., here are the water level readings of the dams:
- Angat: 192.14 m
- Ipo: 101.03 m
- La Mesa: 79.32 m
- Ambuklao: 748.97 m
- Binga: 574.03 m
- San Roque: 246.93 m
- Pantabangan: 192.57 m
- Magat: 190.29 m
- Caliraya: 286.71 m
Ipo Dam at 101.03 meters is above the normal high water level of 101 meters.
Aside from Quinta, the tail-end of a frontal system will also bring moderate to heavy rains over Luzon, particularly over Cagayan, Isabela, Apayao, Kalinga, Abra, Ilocos Norte, and Ilocos Sur, PAGASA said. —KG, GMA News
