Woman in Cavite killed with shards of glass; 2 suspects arrested

A woman in Cavite City was found dead with multiple stab wounds in the grassy area behind the market in Cavite City, according to the report of Emil Sumangil for Saksi on Thursday.

The police reported that the woman bore about 20 stab wounds in her neck, wearing only a shirt.

At the crime scene, there were also shards of glass.

The police gathered information from a witness, who was with the victim the night before the incident, this led to a follow up operation and the arrest of one of the suspects, Bernardine Suazo.

Meanwhile, a second suspect, Loreto Quillo, surrendered to the authorities.

Both suspects admitted to committing the crime.

Suazo admitted he used the shards of glass to kill the victim and that he was drunk at the time.

"Nagtatalo ang isang suspect at ang victim tungkol sa P250 na nawawala... na nawala ng isang suspect na pinagdududahan na kinuha ng victim," said Police Lt. Col. Franco Allex Reglos, Cavite City Police Station chief.

The suspects face the charges of murder and possibly rape if the medico-legal probe shows the victim was raped. -- BAP, GMA News
