1,800 persons in typhoon-hit Ifugao province receive aid from Kapuso Foundation


More than 1,800 residents in typhoon-hit Ifugao received aid from the GMA Kapuso Foundation (GMAKF).

According to a report on “24 Oras” on Wednesday, among those who received aid were Wakina and Tito Baguista whose house was destroyed due to a landslide in their area in Tinoc, Ifugao.

The couple expressed their gratitude to GMAKF as it was the first non-government organization that donated relief packs and water supply to them.

“Salamat sa inyo, GMA Kapuso Foundation. Kahit malayo ang lugar niyo at malayo ang lugar namin ay pinuntahan niyo kami,” Wakina said.

Meanwhile, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council of Tinoc also thanked GMAKF for the donation.

“Ang GMA Kapuso Foundation po ang unang pumunta na NGO po dito sa aming munisipyo at taos puso po kaming nagpapasalamat sa tulong na pinunta niyo po,” Tinoc MDRRMC member Randy Humakey said.

Operation Bayanihan of the GMAKF would not be possible without the help of the Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Incorporated, Armed Forces of the Philippines Northern Luzon Command and the Philippine Army.
