4 NPA rebels killed in Mindoro clash —military

Four suspected communist rebels were killed following an encounter between the military and the New People's Army in Rizal, Occidental Mindoro, the Southern Luzon Command (Solcom) said Monday.

Initial information indicated that government troops had a 30-minute encounter with more or less 20 NPA rebels in Sitio Surong, Barangay Aguas on Monday morning.

There was no casualty on the government side, but four bodies were recovered from the enemy side.
