Nearly P2.5M worth of suspected marijuana seized in Pampanga
Almost P2.5 million worth of suspected marijuana was confiscated during a buy-bust operation in Angeles City, Pampanga on Sunday, the Central Luzon police said Monday.
Authorities said two suspected drug personalities were arrested during the operation in Barangay Balibago. They were identified as one Benhur Buenaventura and a certain Marion Raymundo.
Police said Buenaventura was listed as a high value individual.
A total of 22 plastics containing suspected dried marijuana worth P2,448,000 were confiscated from the suspects.
Police said appropriate charges for alleged violations of Sections 5, 26, 11 and 15, Article II of Republic Act 9165 are being prepared against them.
Police Brigadier General Valeriano De Leon vowed that anti-illegal drugs operations would continue in the region to curb the proliferation of illegal drugs. — Anna Felicia Bajo/RSJ, GMA News
