A special education teacher could not help but shed some tears of joy when the GMA Kapuso Foundation rehabilitated her school in Sorsogon.

According to a report on "24 Oras," the Prieto Diaz Central School is one of the Kapuso schools which received much-needed repairs after the spate of typhoons in 2020.

Teacher Marilou Enguerra, who handles SPED pupils, became emotional now that her students can enjoy improved facilities once face to face classes resume.

Among her pupils include those with intellectual disability, Down Syndrome, and other physical disabilities.

She currently visits her students at their home to help them with their studies amid the coronavirus pandemic.

GMA News anchor Mel Tiangco visited their school in 2007 as the Kapuso Foundation provided classrooms following the devastation caused by Typhoon Reming in 2006.
