An 11-year-old girl has died after she was accidentally shot on Valentine's Day by the enemy of her relatives in Badiangan, Iloilo, according to John Consulta's report on Saksi on Tuesday.

An armed man fired several shots at the house where she was staying with her relatives.

Before the shooting incident, two of the girl's relative had a spat with the suspect, who was identified as April John Valle.

Valle allegedly kicked the truck of the victim's uncle after they hit his motorcycle. As a result, the victim's relatives beat up Valle.

At first, the incident was settled by the two parties involved. However, Valle was not satisfied with the agreement.

Badiangan Police Lt. Col. Ma. Doreen Losaria said in Ilonggo that the suspect was not contented with the settlement that he followed the group involved in the incident to Calansanan, went to their house, and fired several shots.

The victim was with her uncle, grandfather, and some cousins when she was shot.

She died from gunshot wounds in the head and nape.

The suspect, Valle, escaped but was later arrested in the house of a sibling.

Losaria said the suspect denied committing the crime. However, there was a witness who identified him as the gunman.
