Suspected NPA leader killed in Nueva Vizcaya

An alleged high-ranking official of the New People’s Army in Northern Luzon was killed in a supposed encounter with government troops in Nueva Vizcaya on Saturday.

According to the Army, law enforcers were serving a warrant of arrest for homicide against Rommel Tucay, secretary of Kilusang Larangan Gerilya Sierra Madre, when alleged NPA gunmen clashed with them in Barangay Kimbutan, Dupax del Sur.

Seized from the firefight scene were a 9mm pistol, several documents, three tablets, seven smartphones, two Icom radio sets, three power banks, and personal belongings. — DVM, GMA News
