Healthcare workers may get vaccinated against the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) through a drive-thru site in Imus, Cavite.

According to Jun Veneracion’s report on “24 Oras,” the vaccination site is stationed at the elevated parking of a mall in the area.

The medical frontliners who will be receiving their vaccines do not need to go out of their vehicles through the entire process.

Imus Mayor Emmanuel Maliksi said one may get vaccinated faster in drive-thru sites.

The health worker to be inoculated should not be the one driving the vehicle.

In case of adverse effects, the patients will be immediately brought to a nearby hospital.

Once the vaccination program has reached the general population, tricycles will also be allowed to enter the drive-thru sites.

There are 344 active cases in the city.—Joahna Lei Casilao/LDF, GMA News
