3 Laguna hospitals receive rapid test kits, vitamins, medicine from Kapuso Foundation
Three Laguna hospitals received 640 antibody rapid test kits and 20,508 pieces of vitamins and medicine from the GMA Kapuso Foundation.
Among the beneficiaries is Orly Villaflor, 48, a utility staff from the General J. Cailles Memorial District Hospital who tested positive for COVID-19 in January.
His wife, a nursing attendant in the same hospital, also got the virus, resulting in their youngest child also being affected.
Thankfully, all three of them were able to recover. In a report on "24 Oras," Orly said he didn't get nervous because he had faith that the Lord will care for them.
With the help of the Creative Baker’s Company, Inc. and Rhea Generics, the Pagsanjan Rural Health Unit and the Paete General Hospital also received donations.
Aside from the patients, Gen. J. Cailles Hospital's Chief Dr. Rudolfo Villarin said their healthcare workers will also benefit from the test kits and medicine.
The GMA Kapuso Foundation is still accepting donations through bank deposits, Cebuana Lhuiller, and Pay Maya. Vouchers can also be bought from Shopee and Zalora.
