4 persons, including child, found brutally killed in Bacolod City

Four members of a family, including a child were found lifeless in different parts of a house in Barangay Tangub, Bacolod City, according to a report from GMA Regional TV One Western Visayas.

The authorities, who went to the house following a report from a relative, found the child lifeless on a sofa while the other victims were found in different parts of the house.

It is believed that the victims, identified as Jocelyn Nombre, Gemma Espinosa, Michael Espinosa and the child (whose name was withheld) have been dead for three days.

Bacolod City Police Station 8 Commander Police Major Joery Puerto said the victims were found to have head injuries.

He added that the hair of one of the female victims was cut, which could mean that the suspect may have intense anger towards them.

Barangay officials said they did not receive any report that there was trouble in the house.

Puerto also said there are no signs of forced entry and that the valuables, including appliances were intact.

There may be two suspects or more and that the victims may have known them.

So far, there are no witnesses as authorities search for CCTV footage that may be used to identify the suspects.

A person of interest has been identified by authorities while an autopsy is conducted to determine the cause of death of the victims.  -- BAP, GMA News
