Bodies of two missing Camotes Island swimmers found –PCG


The bodies of two men who were last seen swimming off Camotes Island, Cebu were found by locals and a search-and-rescue team, the Philippine Coast Guard reported on Friday.

In a statement, the PCG said that 19-year-old Jhon Mark Heriodas was found by a resident in the waters off Barangay San Isidro.

Meanwhile, 21-year-old Clark Paradero was recovered by the search and rescue (SAR) team at the adjacent waters of Canlusong Wharf.

The remains were turned over to the San Francisco Funeral Services for proper disposition, the PCG said.

On Monday, the two victims and six others went missing while swimming off Camotes Island. Their companions were rescued by the San Francisco Municipal Disaster and Risk Reduction Management Office. —DVM, GMA News
