Chopper crashes in Bohol during maintenance flight —PAF

A chopper crashed in the shoreline of Jetafe, Bohol during a maintenance flight on Tuesday morning, Philippine Air Force (PAF) spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Maynard Mariano said.

“We have a downed aircraft in the vicinity of Bohol,” Mariano said.

He said the MD-520MG helicopter took off from Mactan Air Base for equipment check and maintenance flight.

The crash happened about 9:30 a.m., he added.

Mariano said the investigation is ongoing and they are still confirming the number of possible survivors and casualty.

“My office is really trying to confirm all of these things but we cannot release any information yet,” he added.—Joviland Rita/AOL, GMA News
