Thirty-one fishermen were rescued near Nares Bank in the West Philippine Sea after their boat was damaged on Sunday.
In a press release on Monday, Naval Forces West said rescue was sent after it received a radio signal coming from a Filipino fishing boat named FB Espanola regarding FB Pauline 2.

After the fishermen were assisted by FB Espanola, they were picked up by BRP Emilio Jacinto (PS35) .
"The 31 fishermen were received on board PS35 where they were medically checked, given food and given accommodation," the NFW said.
