Female COVID-19 patient allegedly raped in Albay isolation ward

A female COVID-19 positive patient was allegedly raped inside an isolation facility in Legazpi City, Albay, according to a report on Saksi on Monday.

Based on an initial investigation, a drinking session was held inside the isolation facility.

The woman was raped inside a rest room by a man, who was also under quarantine and was also COVID-19 positive.

The suspect was arrested and a complaint has been filed against him.

The local government unit has called for an investigation of the isolation facility because of the alleged insufficient security measures at the site. -- BAP, GMA News
