Traffic enforcer shot dead in Santa Maria, Bulacan

A traffic enforcer was shot dead on Friday in a barangay in Santa Maria, Bulacan by motorcycle-riding suspects, according to Katrina Son’s report on “State of the Nation.”

A CCTV footage showed the suspects stopping by an establishment in Barangay Caypombo and shooting the victim, identified as Mario Domingo.

Though Domingo was rushed to the hospital, he was declared dead-on-arrival.

“Ang tinitingnan namin dito ay kung mayroon ba silang kagalit o kaya lalong-lalo na previously sa kaniyang trabaho or other personal matters,” Police Lieutenant Colonel Ismael Guana said.

The victim’s partner believes the crime is connected to the case of a tricycle driver Domingo arrested who died of a heart attack.

“Wag daw magpakita… mga sabi-sabi. Maraming nagsabi. May nag-tip sa kaniya daw, mayroon nagbabanta,” she said.
