Family seeks justice after cop shoots Marinduque farmer dead
After farmer Alberto delos Reyes was shot dead by a police officer in Buenavista, Marinduque last July 30, delos Reyes' family has been seeking justice for their slain relative.
According to Mav Gonzales' report on "24 Oras" on Sunday, Police Corporal Jay Anthony Custodio killed Alberto during an anti-illegal logging operation.
Delos Reyes' 10-year-old son also witnessed his father being killed.
(That's what the cop claimed, my brother resisted arrest and made threatening gestures with a bolo. But witnesses said that didn't happen.)
(My brother was putting the power saw away behind the hut. After he had put it away, the cop followed and said, "Go ahead, run." Then there were a series of gunshots.)
(My brother didn't have a machete or anything on him.)
The family had filed a complaint against Custodio.
Custodio is currently under police custody while the investigation is ongoing. — DVM, GMA News
