Bataan cop, marshal face sexual assault charges

A policeman and a marshal were accused of sexually assaulting a 19-year-old female who allegedly violated quarantine protocols in Mariveles, Bataan.

According to a report on "24 Oras Weekend" on Sunday, the suspects were identified as Patrolman Elmer Tuazon Jr. and Armando Dimaculangan.

Based on the investigation, Tuazon and Dimaculangan accosted the female at a quarantine control checkpoint in a barangay in Mariveles last week because she was not an authorized person outside of residence.

But instead of community service, investigators said the two suspects took the victim to the cop's boarding house where they took turns in taking advantage of the teenager.

Philippine National Police chief General Guillermo Eleazar ordered an immediate investigation on the matter. — Ma. Angelica Garcia/DVM, GMA News
