Former Northern Samar congressman Emil Ong dies

Former Northern Samar 2nd District Representative Emil Ong passed away on Thursday.

This was confirmed by Ong's son, Northern Samar Governor Edwin Onchuan, in a Facebook post.

"Our Beloved Father, Cong Emil whose heart and mind is always in Northern Samar, is now in God's arms at around 1pm today. He will always be our guide and will be watching over us," he wrote.

Ong was a three-term congressman of the 2nd District of Northern Samar from 2007 to 2016.—Ma. Angelica Garcia/LDF, GMA News
