San Fernando City, La Union to be placed under 2-week ECQ

The city of San Fernando in La Union province will be placed under Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) for two weeks beginning on Friday, October 1 and end on the 14th according to a report on "Saksi" on Tuesday.

The ECQ status will be implemented due to the increase in the number of cOVID-19 cases, including patients infected with the Delta variant.

The City Health Officer also said there is an increase in the number of frontliners who tested positive for COVID-19.

The hospitals in the city are in full capacity, including the COVID-19 ward of the Bicol Medical Center.

For now, the hospital will not accept hemodialysis patients from other centers. -- BAP, GMA News
