2 kids found dead in landslide-hit area in Baguio

The two children who were subject of a search and rescue operation in a landslide-hit area in Baguio City have been found dead on Wednesday, according to GMA News' Ian Cruz.

The rescue team was composed of policemen, soldiers, firemen and volunteers, according to Cruz's earlier report on Unang Balita.

The two children were identified as Nathalia Ocampo, 4 years old, and her relative Jodirose Tolibas, 12.

On Tuesday, the body of an adult relative of the two, identified as Alfredo Ocampo, was recovered in the landslide-hit area in Barangay Dominican-Mirador. His wife Marjorie was injured in the incident.

According to the Baguio City government, 29 landslide incidents were recorded in the city amid the onslaught of Severe Tropical Storm Maring.

In La Trinidad, Benguet, there kids also died due to landslide. Two adults also died in two separate incidents in Itogon.

Maring exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Tuesday.  —KBK, GMA News
