Students returning to face-to-face classes in Lanao del Norte receive school supplies from Kapuso Foundation
Students returning to face-to-face classes at Napo Elementary School in Lanao del Norte received school supplies from the GMA Kapuso Foundation.
As seen in a report on "24 Oras," Monday, the students were excited to return to school after almost two years of distance learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
To ensure their safety, their tables and chairs are now separated from each other, with each side covered with plastic. They are also required to check their temperature before entering school.
"We have health protocols to follow outside and even before students enter the classroom," said Gloria Cañete, master teacher, in a mix of English and Filipino.
The students are also divided in two sets to determine their schedules in school and at home, according to education program supervisor Angeliro Barazone.
"Kinder, Grade 1, 2, and 3 are the ones going to school, so there's sets A and B. Set A will go to school for the first week, while Set B undergoes distance learning," he said in a mix of English and Filipino.
"The following week, Set B will be the ones in school (while Set A stays at home)," he added.
The students received school bags filled with complete school supplies, a hygiene kit, and face masks to support them as they returned to school.
They were also each given a "Give a Gift: Alay sa Batang Pinoy Christmas Bag," which has toys and a Noche Buena package inside.
The GMA Kapuso Foundation is still accepting donations through bank deposits, Pay Maya, Cebuana Lhuillier, Shopee, GCash, Zalora, Mega Mart, and Globe Rewards.
