Hospital director gunned down in Cagayan de Oro
A hospital director was gunned down by unidentified killers on a motorcycle in Cagayan de Oro on Thursday morning.
Police identified the victim as Dr. Raul Winston Andutan, medical director of Maria Reyna Hospital in the city.
Based on the initial report, two unidentified males on a single motorcycle shot the victim, who was driving his car in Barangay Nazareth.
A responding physician, also from Maria Reyna Hospital, checked the victim's vital signs and declared him dead at the crime scene at 11:07 a.m.
Police Colonel Aaron Mandia, city director of Cagayan de Oro City Police, said the victim succumbed to three gunshots: in his stomach, chest, and neck.
Mandia said recovered from the crime scene were six fired cartridges from a .45-caliber pistol.
Meanwhile, the victim's vehicle had bumped into a laundry shop and hit a motorcycle rider, who was treated for his injuries at JR Borja Hospital.
