Iloilo City’s power 100% restored, says MORE
The power supply in Iloilo City has been 100% restored after Typhoon Odette, its power distributor said Tuesday.
In a statement, MORE Electric and Power Corporation reported it was able to register a 100% restoration of its energy supply in the southern metropolis after the onslaught of Odette.
The power distributor said a total of 54 utility poles, electricity lines and laterals were damaged by Odette's wrath.
MORE Power declared its operations back to normal on Saturday following the sub-transmission, feeders, primary and majority of the secondary lines and laterals were cleared and restored.
It added that it will next work on the secondary lines connecting to the consumers' residential lines.
More than 1.8 million people were affected by the onslaught of Odette, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said on Monday.
The areas most affected by Odette were northeastern Mindanao, Western Visayas, Central Visayas, and Palawan.
