Odette survivors use fallen coconut trees for housing materials
Several residents of Southern Leyte are using fallen coconut trees as housing materials after their homes were damaged by the onslaught of Typhoon Odette.
According to the residents, prices of housing materials rose after Odette's onslaught in the province.

From P300, some materials now cost P500, while gasoline per liter reached P70 to P80.
At least 136,369 houses were damaged due to Odette including 83,633 that were partially damaged and 52,736 totally damaged, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said.
President Rodrigo Duterte already pledged to raise P10 billion to aid the victims of the typhoon. —LBG, GMA News
