Education official shot dead in Tacurong, Sultan Kudarat

An Education supervisor was shot dead in Tacurong City, Sultan Kudarat, according to a report on "Saksi" on Tuesday.

Maguindanao-based Javier Kumandi Sr., of the Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education, was immediately brought to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival. His wife was wounded in the incident.

Based on the initial investigation, the couple was onboard their vehicle and was on the way home. The suspects blocked the vehicle then open fired at them.

The suspects then fled towards a still unknown direction.

The police are investigating the motive behind the crime. -- BAP, GMA News
