Sarangani residents surprised with hundreds of Skipjack tuna along shore

At least one metric ton of skipjack tuna, which is locally known as isdang sambagon, were beached along the shore of Maasim town in Sarangani, according to a report on "State of the Nation" on Friday.

Local fishermen in Purok Kanayan, Barangay Dilao threw nets into the sea but these were damage due to the volume of fish that were just by the seashore.

The residents started collecting the tuna, each weighing between five kilos to 10 kilos. -- BAP, GMA News
