Barangay tanod in Legazpi City stabbed to death by garbage collector

A barangay tanod was stabbed to death by a garbage collector in Legazpi City, Albay.

The suspect was seen on CCTV footage lunging at the victim, GMA Regional TV Balitang Bicolandia reported, according to GMA News' Saksi on Monday.

The barangay tanod was stabbed in the stomach and died.

The suspect escaped and is the subject of a manhunt operation.

Initial investigation showed the suspect may have held a grudge against the victim.

The barangay tanod allegedly rebuked the suspect after the latter had a heated argument with a barangay kagawad. —BAP/KG, GMA News
