The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Monday said more than P6 million worth of suspected shabu was confiscated and two suspects were arrested in separate operations in Bacolod City and Cebu City on Sunday.
In a statement, the PNP said the Bacolod City Police’s drug enforcement unit with the Regional Special Operation 6 and Bacolod City Intelligence Unit conducted a buy bust operation in Barangay Banago.
The operation resulted in the confiscation of P6,068,000 worth of alleged shabu and the arrest of a 30-year-old suspect who is now in the custody of Police Station 3 of Bacolod City for documentation and proper disposition.
“He will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165. These suspected drug criminals must face the consequences of their actions,” PNP officer-in-charge Lieutenant General Vicente Danao Jr. said.
In Cebu City, meanwhile, authorities seized suspected shabu worth P510,000 and arrested the suspect during an operation in Barangay Labangon.
Recovered from him were five medium plastic sachets and two large plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing about 75 grams, the PNP said.
Isma and the pieces of evidence were brought to Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 7 for documentation and proper disposition, according to the PNP. — BM, GMA News
