Security guard directing traffic dies after getting hit by SUV

A 52-year-old security guard who was directing traffic died after he was hit by a speeding SUV in Dasmarinas City, Cavite.

According to Mark Lavaro's report on GMA Regional TV "Balitang Southern Tagalog," the security guard was thrown a few meters off his position due to the impact of the collision.

The victim was immediately taken to the Dasmariñas City Medical Center but was declared dead on arrival.

The suspect has been detained by the Dasmarinas City Police.

He is facing a charge for reckless imprudence resulting in homicide.
