Woman dies after falling into drainage canal in Infanta, Pangasinan

A woman died after she fell into a drainage canal under construction in Barangay Maya in Infanta, Pangasinan.

According to the "Saksi" report of GMA Regional TV's Russel Simorio, the woman was walking by the roadside when she fell.

Police said she may have slipped into the canal.

The woman has yet to be identified.

"Kasi nga may tubig, hindi nakikita 'yung mga butas doon," said Police Lieutenant Joel Medios, deputy chief of the Infanta Police Station.

The excavation was five-foot deep.

Those who have a missing relative have been asked to coordinate with the Infanta Police Station. —NB, GMA News
