Laguna town residents use zipline to cross river

Several residents in the municipality of Sta. Maria, Laguna are using a makeshift zipline to cross the river.

According to a report on “24 Oras," the people living in Barangay Adia opted to use the zipline after the raging river swept away the bridge in the area.

The municipal engineering office said it has prepared the materials for the construction of the new bridge which is set to start before the end of the month.

It urged residents to stop using the zipline due to its danger, adding there is an alternative way for the residents to go around and reach the other side of the river.—Sundy Locus/LDF, GMA News
