3 injured after 'old firecrackers' exploded in Imus, Cavite


At least three people were injured after old firecrackers that were reported to have been stored in a tent near a house in Imus, Cavite exploded, according to Emil Sumangil’s “24 Oras” report on Friday.

Based on the initial investigation of the police, the firecrackers were not sold last New Year and were stored inside a house.

The explosion, which was seen in a CCTV footage, also affected nearby houses and parked cars.

The report said the owner of the house may possibly face charges due to the incident.

The owner of the house, who is still in the hospital, has yet to give a statement.
