More than P400M worth of 'shabu' seized from 2 Chinese nationals


Authorities seized more than P400 million worth of illegal drugs from two Chinese nationals in Mexico, Pampanga.

According to Glen Juego’s report on DZBB Super Radyo, the suspects were captured in a joint operation by Police Regional Office 3 and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Lakeshore along North Luzon Expressway.

The shabu weighed 60 kilos worth over P408 million and was placed inside a tea bag.

The arrested suspects were identified as Wenjie Cheng and Sy Yan Qing, both notorious drug pushers in Metro Manila, Central Luzon, and Calabarzon, according to PNP.

In the report of CJ Torida for GMA Regional TV "One North Central Luzon," the suspects are allegedly notorious drug pushers.

Acting Regional Director, PNP Region 3, Police Brig. Gen. Cesar Pasiwen said the suspects operate in Metro Manila, Regions 3 and 4 and possibly other regions too.

The suspects, who will be brought to Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig, have not issued a statement. They will be charged for violation related to the provisions of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act. -- Sherylin Untalan/BAP, GMA News
