CAVITEX C5 link toll rate hike takes effect Nov. 27

The CAVITEX Infrastructure Corporation (CIC) has announced it would start collecting an increase in toll rates for motorists plying the segments of the CAVITEX C5 link starting November 27, 2022.

Effective 12:01 a.m. on Sunday, the following provisional toll rate shall be applied to CAVITEX C5 Link:  P35.00 for Class 1;  P69.00 for Class 2; and  P104.00 for Class 3 motorists.

Segment 1 covers the stretch of Taguig to Merville, while Segment 3.2 covers Merville to E. Rodriguez.

Segment 3.2 or the CAVITEX C5 Link flyover extension was opened to the motoring public last August 14, 2022, extending the length of the operational segment of the expressway by 1.6 kilometers and allowing more convenient access and improved travel time for those bound to C5 Road in Taguig from Merville, Parañaque, and vice versa.

The CAVITEX management said it has introduced new traffic schemes to mange traffic flow in the area, and opened a new Merville exit ramp last October.

The whole CAVITEX C5 Link will span a total of 7.7km and connect to CAVITEX in 2023.

This is aimed at helping reduce travel time by 30 to 45 minutes for motorists traveling from CAVITEX to Makati, Taguig, and Pasay, and vice versa. This project also helps decongest major thoroughfares such as EDSA and MIA Road.
