Baguio City temperature down to 12.2°C —PAGASA
The temperature in Baguio City dropped to 12.2°C on Sunday morning due to the Northeast Monsoon or Amihan affecting Luzon, state weather bureau PAGASA said.
“[Sa] Baguio City, pumalo na tayo sa 12.2°C. ‘Yan ang pinakamalamig ng Baguio,” PAGASA weather specialist Raymond Ordinario said in a Super Radyo dzBB interview.
(In Baguio City, the temperature hit 12.2°C. That's the coldest in Baguio.)
In Metro Manila, he said Quezon City logged the lowest temperature within the day so far at 23°C.
Meanwhile, around 20°C was recorded in Tagaytay.
Ordinario also advised people living in Northern parts of the country to prepare for the cold weather because as low as 17.8°C was already recorded in Tuguegarao City, and 13.2°C in Basco, Batanes.
“Ang amihan, itong malamig na hangin, ang nakaaapekto sa buong Luzon, including Metro Manila. Ngunit magkakaron tayo ng maulap na papawirin na may pag-ulan diyan sa Cagayan Valley, Cordillera, Aurora, Quezon, at Bicol region,” Ordinario said.
(The northeast monsoon bringing this cold air, affects the whole of Luzon, including Metro Manila. But we will have cloudy weather with rain in the Cagayan Valley, Cordillera, Aurora, Quezon, and Bicol region.)
Aside from the Northeast Monsoon, PAGASA said a shear line will also affect Visayas, bringing rain showers. —LBG, GMA Integrated News
