Chinese national rescued from kidnappers; 3 Chinese suspects nabbed
The Cavite police rescued a 21-year-old Chinese national from her kidnappers at a Bacoor, Cavite subdivision and arrested three alleged abductors - fellow Chinese nationals.
According to Emil Sumangil’s Tuesday “24 Oras” report, police recovered a handgun, bullets, duct tape, handcuffs, and other evidence from the suspects.
They found the victim on the second floor of a subdivision house.
The Bacoor police said a resident of the subdivision reported that there were illegal activities going on at the house.
“Meron daw bumaba tatlong kalalakihan na mukhang Chinese at isang babae sa Mary Homes subdivision sa Barangay Molino 4, na allegedly itong tatlong Chinese ay may mga baril,” said Bacoor police chief Police Lieutenant Colonel Rather Saquilayan.

Based on the investigation, the victim is an Information Systems technician who arrived in the country to work.
“Itong babae, galing Dubai. Mineet nila, sila ang sumundo. After that, nung hindi na nagkakaroon ng magandang usapin ay pinilit ng isinakay itong babae sa isang white van,” Saquilayan said.
(The woman came from Dubai. They met her, they fetched her. After that, their discussions did not go well, and they forced her into a white van.)
The suspects demanded a 300,000-yuan ransom from the victim's relatives in exchange for her liberty.
“Hinihingan siya ng P300,000 yuan for exchange for her liberty,” he said.
Authorities charged the suspects with serious illegal detention, kidnapping, illegal possession of firearms and explosives.
The victim is under the custody of the Chinese Embassy.
