Woman found dead with slit throat in Cavite; stay-in helper tagged as suspect


In Cavite, a woman was found dead with a slit throat on her birthday inside her house.

The suspect is the stay-in helper hired by the victim's family, 21-year-old Patrick John Gonzales aka Butchoy, according to the report of Emil Sumangil on "Saksi."

A CCTV footage showed a man carrying several bags at 4 a.m. last February 11, Saturday outside a house in Bacoor, Cavite.

He left the house where he worked for at least three weeks.

After almost two hours, a woman was found lifeless inside the same house.

The victim was identifies as the owner of the house Felicitas "Bing" Policarpio Soriano, 61 years old.

Mark Jerick Almusajin, son of the victim, said there were traces of blood near the gate. He saw the lifeless body of his mother inside a room.

The police has yet to find the murder weapon.

Authorities said the suspect allegedly took the cellphone and wallet of the victim.

The police also recovered a shirt stained with blood that was thrown into a nearby creek.

The suspect also has a record of complaints filed against him by people he borrowed money from.

The family of the victim is offering a cash reward to whoever can give information on the suspect's whereabouts.

"Sana makonsyensya ka. Sumuko ka na lang. Hindi ko alam kung bakit ganun yung ginawa mo. Mabait naman yung mga tao sa iyo ron," said Almusajin. -- BAP, GMA Integrated News
