Barangay captain in Lipa, Batangas shot dead

A barangay captain in Lipa, Batangas was shot dead by a still-unidentified killer or killers, according to a report on 24 Oras Weekend on Sunday.

CCTV footage shows San Carlos barangay captain Vivencio Palo standing on the back of a pickup truck parked on the side of a road near a store.

A car then pulls up next to the truck and shots are fired. Palo topples headfirst to the ground as the car pulls away. 

Palo was pronounced dead at the hospital. Authorities are investigating the incident. — BM, GMA Integrated News
