Shooting of barangay chairman caught on video in Lipa

A barangay chairman was gunned down by a still unidentified suspect in Lipa City, Batangas.

According to a report on “State of the Nation”, victim Vivencio Palacio was organizing items he was selling at the back of his pickup when a car stopped and a gunman inside shot him.

CCTV footage caught the tragic incident which also showed the suspect escaping.

Palacio was immediately brought to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival.

Authorities said they are currently investigating the incident.

The local government is also putting up a P200,000 reward to anyone who will provide information that would lead to the reported assailant’s arrest. —Sundy Locus/NB, GMA Integrated News
