Mother shot dead in front of her child in Talisay, Cebu

A 46-year-old woman died on the spot after she was shot by three suspects in Talisay City, Cebu.

According to the report on "Saksi" by Nico Sereno of GMA Regional TV Balitang Bisdak, the victim was identified as Emerina Entis Barias.

Her loved ones said the suspects were looking for one of Emerina's children when they went to their residence in Talisay City.

One of the victim's children, a ten-year old, witnessed the shooting.

The suspects fled but the seventeen-year-old who was with them was caught.

He admitted being with the suspects when the crime happened but denied that he was involved in the shooting.

The suspect said he just went with his uncle and cousin and did not know that they had planned to shoot someone.

The police are examining two angles on the suspects' motive: a grudge and illegal drugs.
