Residents in Albay receive aid anew from GMA Kapuso Foundation amid Mayon unrest

Evacuees from the municipality of Daraga, Albay received aid from the GMA Kapuso Foundation amid Mayon Volcano's unrest.

According to a report on "24 Oras” on Friday, the town is among those affected by Mayon’s recent activities.

As the volcanic activities have not ceased, Most of the evacuees, especially children, remain in evacuation centers.

“Mostly sa mga evacuees, yung very common, ubo [at] sipon. Meron din mga mangilan-ngilan na LBM, kailangan lagi malinis ang kamay,” Dr. Caesar Luna Mata Jr. said.

Dirgie Asilo’s son, for instance, has been experiencing stomach pains in recent days.

“Mahina po talaga ang ano ng anak ko,” she said.

For the second wave of the GMA Kapuso Foundation’s Operation Bayanihan, the affected residents received hygiene kits, alcohol, diapers, and vitamins.

For those who are interested to help, the GMA Kapuso Foundation is accepting donations through bank deposits, Cebuana Lhuillier, GCash, Shopee, PayMaya, Zalora, MegaMart, Globe Rewards, Metrobank credit card, and Lazada.
