Man splashes wife with boiling water after quarrel over video call

Half the face of a 43-year-old woman in Cebu City was scalded after her husband splashed boiling water at her on Monday before dawn.

According to Oscar Oida's report on "24 Oras," the victim said she was watching TV when the incident happened.

The victim said she and her husband had a quarrel over a video call she had with a friend.

The 43-year-old suspect was arrested also on Monday. He said he could no longer take what his wife had been doing.

The authorities are preparing a complaint for a violation of the Anti-Violence Against Women and Children Act against the suspect. —NB, GMA Integrated News
