Residents were advised to be ready to be evacuated to safety if the situation worsens.

Meanwhile, the report said the body of a 16-year-old boy was retrieved inside his home after a landslide in Baguio city.

According to the City’s Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (CDRRMO), the boy was sleeping when the disaster happened. His parents were able to escape with minor wounds.

The victim was noted as the first Typhoon Egay casualty by the CDRRMC.

Earlier, it was reported that one person died while two others were injured due to the typhoon, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).
