PNP: One of six suspects in Cavite restaurant robbery arrested
One of the six suspects in the robbery of a restaurant in Imus, Cavite was arrested on Tuesday, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said on Wednesday.
“Kasalukuyan pong nasa prosecutor’s 'yung mga personnel po ng PNP para po mag-file ng kaso for robbery. Dito nga po sa anim na suspect ay isa nga po d'yan ay nahuli na po kahapon,” PNP spokesperson Police Colonel Jean Fajardo told GTV’s Balitanghali.
(Currently, PNP personnel are at the prosecutor’s office to file charges for robbery. Out of the six suspects, one was arrested on Tuesday.)
Fajardo said a motorcycle allegedly used in the crime was caught in CCTV footage. The owner of the motorcycle has been identified and located.
Follow-up operations are still being conducted.
According to Fajardo, the perpetrators took more or less P18,000 from the customers and the establishment.
During the incident, the perpetrators pointed guns to the customers and took their money, phones, bags, and other valuable items.
