Mother, her 3 children stabbed after trying to collect a P600-debt in Antipolo City


A woman, her three children, in Antipolo City were injured after trying to collect a debt from a neighbor, Nico Waje reported on "Saksi" Monday.

A 52-year-old woman who was collecting a debt from a neighbor was stabbed in different parts of her body by the partner of her neighbor.

Her companions, her three children, were also stabbed.

According to the Antipolo City police, the suspect was drunk.

"Nagkataon na nakulitan na yung suspek at siya ay nakainom at biglang sinugod sa kanilang tahanan at inundayan niya ng saksak yung apat na kababaihan po. Bale isang pamilya," said Antipolo Police Col. Ryan Manongdo.

After the incident, the suspect hid in the mountain range of Sitio Kaysakat 2 in Barangay San Jose. He was arrested after his location was disclosed by an informant.

The suspect was identified as Joseph Delda, who admitting to stabbing the victims.

Delda said he had a debt of P600 that he planned to pay.

He related that he asked the debt collector for time to pay his debt he had expenses related to the death of a relative.

Delda said that he thought that they reached an understanding with the collector, who returned to ask for payment of his debt.

"Dun ako nainis e. Kasi kinausap ko siya na sa sunod next na ako magbayad e," he added.

The police said that Delda has a previous case of frustrated murder, which he denied during an interview with GMA Integrated News.

The victims, meanwhile, are recuperating in a hospital. — BAP, GMA Integrated News
