Man who went amok stabs policeman, gets shot dead in Iloilo

A man who went amok and stabbed a policeman was shot and killed in Iloilo.

According to John Consulta's report on "State of the Nation," CCTV  footage showed the man running after police officers with a knife.

When one of the policemen fell to the ground, the man stabbed him in the back.

It was then that he was shot by another cop.

Investigation showed that a policeman told the man to go home and asked that he surrender his knife.

The man walked away but went back and started chasing the cops. 

Another person was hit by a bullet during the incident.

A sibling said the man had been suffering from mental health problems for ten years.

The police said they are ready to deal with the complaint if the deceased man's family files a complaint. —Sherylin Untalan/NB, GMA Integrated News
